Fencing around trees and slopes
Pleasant Grove is a city in Utah County known as "Utah's City of Trees," and it slopes up off the Mt. Timpanogos bench. Mature trees and grade changes are common, so fence lines often have to work around roots and step down a hill.
Installers can shift post spacing to avoid large roots, and stepped or racked panels keep a fence neat on a slope without big gaps at the bottom.
Picking a fence for your yard
Vinyl privacy fencing needs little upkeep and is a common backyard choice. Wood gives a warmer look but needs staining or sealing over time. Ornamental metal keeps mountain views open.
For dogs, ask about gap size under the fence, self-closing gates and latch height.
Before you get a Pleasant Grove quote
- Check Pleasant Grove City's fence height and front-yard rules before choosing a design.
- Get HOA approval in writing if your neighborhood has one.
- Request a Blue Stakes of Utah locate at least three business days (and no more than 14 calendar days) before digging; most installers handle this.
- Point out large trees and sprinkler lines so posts can be placed around them.
